Kwaku leads the Nzema Gold Mine as Acting General Manager, with full accountability for safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance across every operational and support function — mining, processing, maintenance, tailings, projects, HR, finance, community, and security. A metallurgist by training and a mine leader by experience, he combines deep technical expertise with a hands-on leadership style that has consistently delivered improvements in safety, recovery, and profitability.
Over a 27-year career spanning Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Côte d'Ivoire, Madagascar, Mali, and Senegal, Kwaku has held senior metallurgical and management roles with some of the world's leading mining companies — including AngloGold Ashanti, Ma'aden Gold and Base Metals, Newcrest Mining, Ambatovy (Nickel and Cobalt), Resolute Mining, and Endeavour Mining. He has built a strong track record in gold CIL, BIOX oxidation, sulphide flotation, roasting, heap leach, and gravity recovery operations, with a particular strength in greenfield commissioning and process turnaround.
He rose from Graduate Trainee to Acting General Manager — a journey that has given him direct experience at every level of plant and mine operations. He is equally known for the quality of the teams he builds and the national professionals he has mentored and developed along the way.
